Taking time to stop and smell the roses

Happy Friday, ya'll! Or as I like to say, Happy Weekend Kickoff! I'm pleased to report that I have a happily busy weekend planned, which will likely be further enhanced by the projected BEAUTIFUL spring weather! Finally, finally, finally it feels like spring has sprung and I couldn't be happier. Just keep the humidity to a minimum and I'll be a happy girl, kthanks.

The impending warm weather and my subsequent string of good moods has got me thinking that when all is said and done, it's the simple things in life that truly matter. A beautiful day, a boat ride after work, a walk in the park, an invigorating yoga practice...these are the things that count. The hard part is remembering it even when things are going so well.

In an attempt to get myself to appreciate life little joys just a little bit more, I started taking photos of random things that I see around me in daily life that speak to me or that just make me happy. I hope to keep up with this practice, and especially to remind myself to do it even when I'm feeling overwhelmed and less than carefree.

I hope you like them!
