Today, I'm headed to a free Day of Wellness event at the school where I frequently take free yoga classes. There will be a vinyasa class followed by an in-depth asana workshop, and then a kirtan class. I love the way Sanskrit chanting, and I'm looking forward to exploring this other branch of my yoga practice.
What's on the ticket today?! It's Fitnessista.com! Gina, The Fitnessista, was one of the first health and fitness bloggers I discovered when I was first getting interested in changing my lifestyle. She is a prolific writer, and her blog is lovingly curated with delicious, healthy recipes; workouts; lifestyle tips; and anecdotes about being a military wife with a toddler. It's a very personal blog, but at the same time, very accessible. She writes in a very informal style, but she has years of experience as a fitness professional, particularly as a Zumba instructor.

I used to be anal about reading each and every post--a Herculean task since she posts multiple times a day!--but then I relaxed a little and in fact haven't been reading very regularly for the last several months. However, I find that this is a tried-and-true that I just keep going back to, particularly for exercise tips and recipes...and for the occasional giveaway :-)
I hope you enjoy Fitnessista.com AND your weekend!!!
